First Entry

I'm not exactly sure if I'm going to keep this blog. Since I have family that live out of town, I thought I would give this a try. Mostly to track Aidan's progress growing up and keep everyone informed on what my family is up to.

Aidan will turn 2 shortly after the new year. No! It can't be, but it's true, the sweet little cuddly baby moments are behind us. But I'm very happy to report that we still have sweet cuddly moments occasionally.

Since this might motivate me to get out his baby book and update it, here are the things I want to remember about Aidan at this stage...

The way he points to smoke or steam and says "hOt"...with a long, loud emphasis on the "OT" sound....even when he sees steam from the paper plant while driving to Horrocks in the car.

Whenever someone asks him for a kiss, he gives a kiss, then immediately turns to everyone within a 6 foot radius to give them kisses too. (Including the kitty).

He almost successfully put his sock on this week.

He LOVES having his own blankets. Since last summer, he's always referred to any of his blankets as his "baby". When he goes to bed at night, he balls up his baby and shoves it under his belly. I think I've come to the conclusion that he's hoarding it...so nobody will take it when he sleeps. lol

He enjoys watching Yo Gabba Gabba. But I've noticed that just about all of the old Noggin (now Nickelodeon Jr) shows will hold his attention.

He now announces to us when he poops in his diaper. So let the potty training begin.

He has trouble saying Kitty Cat, and it sounds more like: kitta kitta kitta kitta.

He throws tantrums anytime we have to leave a park or playground.

He loves to eat sweet potatoes. It's about the only thing that I know he'll eat consistently.

I could go on forever, but that's enough for now. My friend Renee is in town and we're off to go visit the Roses.
